THE MAPS

When Burroughs was chronicling the adventures of Captain Carter and friends, he created a map of Barsoom based on the descriptions of what he was told. It is unknown if John Carter gave him the map, looked over Burroughs’ shoulder as it was drawn or if Burroughs simply drew it from descriptions found in the manuscripts given him.
Regardless, this is as close to Canon as we can get.
Any other map of Barsoom must conform to this one no matter what the source.

This is the Western Hemisphere of Barsoom.

This is the Eastern Hemisphere of Barsoom.

There are a few things you may note.
First- Neither Dor nor Korus are shown. Thus when Burroughs refers to Korus as being at the South Pole, he may be referring to the generally southern portion of the unknown region of Barsoom. The orbits of the Moons imply this.

Second- Burroughs neglects to place the waterways on his map thus implying that most of Barsoom is empty.

Third- The map gives unfortunately few details save the Toonol Marsh and the Torquas basin. Thus we must add details based on our own ideas, thoughts and interpretations.
This is what I have done, assumed that Burroughs used the Lowell Map as a source, then combined info from the Novels, the MARS MOLA Maps and listened to the giants of the Burroughs fandom.
